FUNDRAISING TOOLKIT OFFERS TRIED AND TRUE TIPS

fundraising-toolkit

We realize that asking for money can sometimes be scary or uncomfortable. We want to help you feel GOOD about asking people to help cure cancer faster. For this reason, we have created a fundraising toolkit to help you be successful and raise as much as possible for Fred Hutch.

In the toolkit, we suggest 5 steps that have been shown to help make fundraising painless – and fun!

  1. PERSONALIZE YOUR OBLITERIDE FUNDRAISING PAGE

The first thing you will want to do when starting your fundraising campaign is to personalize your fundraising page. The toolkit will help answer questions on how to best do this.

  1. COMPLETE YOUR FUNDRAISING PLAN

A worksheet is provided that you can follow to achieve your fundraising goals.

  1. JUST ASK!

Send emails, post on social media, use snail mail, talk it up with friends. Show your enthusiasm and just ask!! Most people appreciate the opportunity to support you and Fred Hutch.

  1. FOLLOW UP

Be persistent. Everyone is busy these days. Send reminders to your potential donors. Don’t be afraid to follow up. Most people appreciate a reminder.

  1. SAY THANK YOU

Thanking your donors for their support is very important. Send an email or card, call your donors, or post on social media. People really appreciate being thanked and it offers you a chance to share your experience and receive repeat gifts in future years.
